Seva builds Partnerships to respond to locally Defined
Problems
with
Culturally Sustainable Solutions.
In a vision that inspires Seva's work in the world,
health is not simplye the elimination of disease; it is a condition
of wholeness
and freedom of being. Seva believes that international service requires
a consciousness of the interplay of both economic and political forces
as well as social, cultural and spiritual influences. Service that
seeks to work for significant and measurable improvements in people's
lives also requires relationships that are based on an appreciation
for the fullness of our human diversity.
Seva seeks to serve an evolving vision that integrates
the ancient and the modern in ways that promote health and human
harmony. It
is a vision that has Seva working with modern surgeons and traditional
healers, sharing the technology for surgically implanted lenses and
supporting herbal remedies used by Mayan midwives. A vision that
accomodates the best of both worlds.

The Mosby Foundation
P.O. Box 218
Deerfield, VA 24432
Mission Statement: The Mosby Foundation
is organized exclusively for charitable purposes, to assist in
the caare of sick, injured, abused, neglected and/or homeless dogs
in order to ready them for placement in loving and permanent homes.
Mosby wasn't just any dog. It seems God decided to
bless him by being a bit of an angel too. A Malamute-Husky mix,
Mosby was literally loved by everyone who met the gentle giant.
Mosby's nature was compassionate and gentle. Admirers often said
that he had eyes that looked right through to your soul. As a certified
therapy dog, Mosby took his life's work as graciously as any angel.
Every person he met was given the gift that was bestowed upon him:
unconditional love and acceptance. But on August 8, 2003, Mosby's
gentle life came to an ubrupt end when he was intentionally shot
and killed. Carole Adams, Mosby's owner, sought to turn her grief
into positive action. And that's exactly what Carole has done.
"If you have men who will exclude any of God's
creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have
men who will
deal likewise with their fellow men."
- St. Francis of Assisi
